Junction Arts Festival is a huge annual event in Launceston, Tasmania. 2018 will be the 8th event and looks to be getting bigger each year! Although held across several venues. the 'hub' is in and around the iconic 19th Century, Prince's Square, located in the central business district of Launceston, Tasmania.

The 'hub' will again offer the Fountain Bar, lighting up the area with live performances, food and award winning wines and the like. There will also be the Prince's Palace, featuring cabaret for the adults and children's shows to draw in families as well.

The Audreys. The name speaks for itself! A wonderful South Australian band that formed back in 2004 with their unque and amazing blues/roots music. The Audreys are a Triple Aria award winning band that will be playing for one night only in Launceston and not to be missed!

Madame Butterfly is one of the most famous of all opera's, composed by Giacomo Puccini, and based on the short story by John Luther Long, which in turn was past onto him by his sister in the late 19th Century, and said to have been based partly on true events. It is a love story with all the traditional elements of heartache and romance, in this case crossing cultural barriers as well. 

Performed in English by Opera Australia, across 2 hours and 25 minutes (with one interval), Madame Butterfly will offer an evening of enchantment and delight for all opera lovers.
