Music, dance and drama are highlights throughout March in Launceston, Tasmania. With the iconic Princess Theatre the grand host for many of these cultural lures; and just a short stroll from Adina Place Motel, why not make a night out in town during your stay one to remember.

Elvis: An American Trilogy

Elvis has entered the building! Direct from the United States of America, starring Vic Trevino Jnr, Gino Monopoli and Steven Michaels’ Elvis: An American Trilogy plays tribute to the King from three distinct eras in his professional career - the rockabilly sounds and dance moves of his youth, the smooth vocals during his movie star years and all the glitz and sparkle that the 70’s brought that helped shaped this legendary man’s voice. Les Miserables
Thu 15th March to Saturday 31st March 2018Princess Theatre - 57 Brisbane Street, Launceston

Victor Hugo’s theatrical masterpiece is brought to life by Encore Theatre and a cast of talented singers, dancers, actors and crew. Seen by more than 70 million people worldwide in 42 countries, and shared in 22 languages, Encore Theatre return with this spectacular new staging.
Les Miserables was first written in 1862 and follows the tale of several characters, including Jean Valjean, a former prisoner in a state of redemption. The historical drama is also a political commentary of the Paris Revolution that began in 1815 and invites reflection upon the subject of law, religion and the human condition. Not to be missed!

Candela Dance Workshop and Party
Fri 16th March to Sun 18th March 2018Launceston Workers Club - 66 Elizabeth Street, Launceston, Tasmania

Time to get your dancing shoes on and join the party! The Friday workshop runs from 7:30 pm until 9:30pm and is all about Salsa. Learn what to listen to in Cuban Salsa music and discover more about the rhythms involved with the various styles of Salas.
Saturday workshop: 10am – noon ‘Intensive Kizomba Bootcamp’. Come and learn the highly technical dance that originated in Angola in the 1970’s. Please note you must attend this morning workshop if you wish to attend the afternoon workshop as well which will run between 1pm – 3pm. Later in the evening the Salas Party will take place from 8pm until 12pm in the same venue.
Sunday, 18th March the dancing continues! The morning workshop runs from 10am – 11:30pm with a focus on Cuban Salas Partner dancing at intermediate level. Then after a 15 minute break the afternoon workshop begins ‘Rueda Party Moves’11:45am – 1:15pm.
Please note that for the majority of this event the venue will be the ‘Launceston Workers Club’ as listed above, however the Friday evening workshop venue is still yet to be advised publically. Please contact SALSAme, the organizers of this event for more information.

Jimmy Barnes - 'Working Class Man tour'

After selling 150,000 copies of ‘Working Class Boy’ and becoming a best-selling author and winning ‘Biography of the Year’ Jimmy takes his story on tour through familiar songs and the emotive art of storytelling live.

Easter Saturday Children's and Families Festival
Sat 31st March 2018City Park, 45-55 Tamar Street, Launceston, Tasmania

Looking for something to do with all the family on Easter Saturday? Then why not head to City Park, just a short stroll from Adina Place Motel for this wonderful FREE event. A range of activities will be taking place including circus tricks, dancing, music, balloon sculpting, craft and art activities and free sausages. Take a picnic blanket and head out for a relaxing afternoon outdoors.
